5best for hair health
By Chandler
Boar bristles are the best you can use on your hair because they distribute the oils to the ends. Not meaning that they make your hair oily, but take the oils from the top of your head in order to condition your hair where it’s most dry…the ends.

Because of this, they’ve been used and recommended forever. In stores, unless I’m specifically in a beauty shop, I can usually only find boars bristles MIXED with plastic which I’ve never found to do as good of a job keeping my hair in great shape as the pure boar bristles…and, oddly, they are actually higher priced than this.

This is the cheapest 100% boar bristle brush I’ve found so I was elated as it’s a staple in my beauty routine, I left my other one in Florida, and I figure since there is no tax that helps out some in spite of shipping so it still comes out cheaper than what I’ve found in a store and of better quality. The bristles stay in and it lasts.

I actually prefer it with no handle…that’s just how I hold my brush for best control when using the boar bristle brushes.

I hate to leave a review without a negative but, I mean, it IS just a brush…it works great and it lasts and holds great in my palm. I can’t think of one.

5Nice brush. I like it.
By Otto Cilindri
As age advances we find that hair migrates southward from the formerly covered prominences, to less appropriate areas (ie, ears, back, shoulders, NOSTRILS, for goodness sake!). As you get older, you will find that hair thins with advancing age, and you will need a (very) fine comb or soft brush to manipulate it into place.

This is that brush.

If your hands are arthritic, by the time your hair completes it’s migration, you will find the shape of this brush is good, as it does not have a handle (yes, its a military style hair brush). You will find the bristle texture is softer than nylon, and it allows you to slow migration to the lower slopes. If you have a full head of hair, this is not designed for you. It will not penetrate through the underbrush to till the soil on top of Old Baldy. It IS DESIGNED FOR THINNING HAIR atop your aged dad, or grandfather.

If you have loads of hair, good luck and see how long it lasts when you are pushing 40, or by the time you hit 50, or 60 runs you down. Its nice soft texture is fine, and it will not break hair off, nor will it allow shedding hair to mulch among the bristles. It will not scratch your aging scalp, unless you walk abroad in the noon-day sun, without a hat, attracting sunburn to your bald spot. Nothing can help in the face of denial, and stubborn disregard.

I do not like aging, but I DO like this brush. I’m Otto Cilindri, and I approve this message.

4soft brush
By ELH
really soft, feels great, but a bit too soft. Couldn’t really pull my hair back as much/tight as I would like.
